What is ghost mannequin photography?
Ghost mannequin photography — also called invisible mannequin or hollow man photography — is a technique where a garment is photographed on a mannequin, then the mannequin is removed in post-production and the inside of the collar, cuffs and openings are composited back in. The result is a garment that holds its natural, worn shape in three dimensions, floating on a clean white background with no visible mannequin or model.

What is ghost mannequin photography?
It shows a garment on a mannequin, then removes the mannequin in post-production and composites the inside of the neckline and cuffs back in — giving a hollow, 3D garment with natural shape on a clean white background, with no visible mannequin or model.
How much does it cost?
From £14+VAT per product for a single front shot, £17+VAT for front and back, and £20+VAT for front, back and a close-up detail. All steaming, editing and retouching is included. Volume discounts apply on large orders.
How quickly will I get my images?
Standard turnaround is 2-3 days from the shoot date, with a guaranteed 24-hour fast-track service available for tight launch deadlines.
Do you steam and prepare the garments?
Yes — every garment is professionally steamed and styled before shooting, and any remaining creases are removed in editing. It's all included in the per-product price.
Can I post my samples to the studio?
Absolutely. We work with clients worldwide — drop samples off at the Manchester studio (M8 8RA) or post them in, and we'll return them after the shoot.
